At 300 pounds Goff resigned herself to the idea that she would always be fat. She was one of the emotionally and financially damaged Americans who collectively spend more than $40 billion every year on weight-loss programs.
After losing more than 150 pounds with no surgery or pricey diet scheme, Goff detailed her wallet-friendly weight-loss journey in The Skinny Budget Diet. This book gives readers the tools needed to be successful without buying an expensive program or signing a contract.
“I hid from the truth all around me because of fear and ignorance,” says Goff. “It put pounds on my body and added weight to my debt.”
Linda Goff was selected by Prevention magazine and the syndicated television show The Doctors as a finalist in their Picture of Health contest. Her photo and story appeared in the May 2010 magazine. Her weekly talk show, Before Meets After, airs nationally on the Christian Television Network/CTN, reaching more than 35 million viewers. She has a weekly blog called “Before and After Shot” at: blog.thywillpower.com that averages 1,500 hits per month only six months after its creation.

Lake Mary, FL—Charisma Media launches Philippines-based author Joey Bonifacio's latest teaching on the power of connecting to God and one another in The LEGO Principle.
Steve Strang, CEO of Charisma Media and one of America’s most influential evangelicals according to Time magazine, featured Bonifacio in the September 2012 issue of Charisma magazine.
The Discipleship in Action column features a look inside Victory church in Manila, Philippines, where Bonifacio serves as one of its leaders. The multi-site church is home to more than 5,000 small groups (attended by approximately 62,000 members) and has consistently been growing at about 25% annually over the last 12 years. As the congregation grows, it is anchored on one simple concept: discipleship, as Jesus taught it.
The LEGO Principle follows the lead of LEGO, a company that has been responsible for transforming the way people play, learn, think, and enjoy for more than fifty years.
Bonifacio reveals that discipleship begins and ends with relationship—and gives the building blocks for being effective in reaching others.
“Just like LEGO pieces that connect at the top and at the bottom, discipleship is about connecting to God and with one another,” Bonifacio writes. “This is the LEGO Principle: Connect first to God and then to one another. It does not matter what one’s skin color, social background, age, or denomination is—God designed us all to connect to Him and then to one another. This to Jesus was what it meant to be His disciple.”
The LEGO Principle is available through major international retailers such as Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Books-A-Million and Christianbook.com.
Charisma House has published eleven New York Times best sellers, including The Harbinger by Jonathan Cahn, Fasting by Jentezen Franklin, 23 Minutes In Hell by Bill Wiese, and The Seven Pillars of Health by Don Colbert, MD.
Daisy "Dr. Mommy" Sutherland will appear on The Christian Television Network's Homekeepers program on Friday, September 14, 2012 at 5:30 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. EST. Homekeepers, hosted by Arthelene
Rippy, is a program dedicated to women who fill one of today's most vital roles
in society... that of the homekeeper.
Sutherland is the author of Letting Go of Supermom: Dr. Mommy's "get real" approach to a balanced life. She is the founder and CEO of Dr. Mommy, LLC, a doctor of chiropractic by profession, wife, and mom to five children, whom she has home schooled for the past twelve years. Sutherland hosts a weekly Blog Talk Radio show called Family Talk and is the featured parenting expert on Mom Talk Radio, a nationally syndicated radio show that airs on more than fifty stations, reaches 50,000 moms, and has been recognized in The Oprah Magazine, Women’s Day, USA Today, and Parenting.
Letting Go of Supermom is the definitive guide to parenting as it provides everything a mom needs to manage her and her family’s life without added stress. Sutherland helps overwhelmed moms to learn the importance of asking for help.
“The pressure that we place on ourselves to be perfect and have everything in its place can be extremely overwhelming,” says Dr. Mommy. “However, when we learn to delegate and simply let go and let God, life becomes easier, we are less stressed, we are much happier, and in turn our families are happier.”
