Verse of the Day

LAKE MARY, FL—After facing the potential of having a terminal diagnosis, Robin Bertram wrote No Regrets

(June 6, 2017), sharing the powerful life lessons learned through her journey. She shows readers how to live a

godly life and build a meaningful legacy for those they love, expressing the importance of forgiving others,

mending broken relationships, and embracing life with joy and gratitude.

With a new perspective Bertram writes on how to prioritize our relationships with God and our loved ones.

Written through the lens of personal experience, No Regrets reveals how to cultivate an awareness of

everyday blessings, allow God to refine your character, and ensure that you will leave this earth with no

regrets. Each chapter includes interactive tips, scriptural support, and principles to live by.

“We all can get so caught up in what we did or didn’t do that we forget to embrace and enjoy today,” Bertram

says. “Not only that, but our regretful thinking can steal our tomorrows as well. Today is the best day you

have.... No matter what stage of life you are in, how young or old you are, what you have or have not

accomplished thus far, you can begin today to live your life intentionally for Christ, and doing so will minimize

regrets and maximize personal fulfillment.”

Phil Cooke, Filmmaker, Media Consultant, and author of One Big Thing: Discovering What You Were Born to Do

says, “I have many regrets in my life, but if I had read Robin Bertram’s new book No Regrets as a young man,

things might be different. This is a manual for living your life to the fullest. It’s about not looking back and

wondering what might have been. If you’ve ever believed there was more to life, then you need this book. It

will give you a new vision for your future, a vision that could change everything.”

No Regrets is written for those who aspire to live a rich, meaningful life, leave a spiritual legacy, and serve as a

strong influence for Christ in their day-to-day living.

Bertram is an ordained minister, a Christian speaker, and the executive producer and host of the nationally

and internationally syndicated television show Freedom Today. She is also the Vice President of Media

Relations for Christian Women in Media. She hosts Freedom Today women’s conferences in cities across the

United States and is the keynote speaker for Bella Women’s Network God Crazy Freedom conferences, Thrive

WC2016, Christian Women in Media conferences, the upcoming Woman2Woman conferences, and the

Girlville Cruises.

LAKE MARY, FL—How do we approach the Lord when we have a big decision to make? What if we

have expectations for the future? What if there is an obstacle to overcome? In 40 Days Through the

Prayers of Jesus Tim Cameron shows how answering these questions starts with looking at how

Jesus prayed.

Each daily reading examines a prayer from Scripture and offers a guide to reaching a more Christ-
like prayer life, covering topics such as:

  •  How to pray according to the power of the Holy Spirit
  •  The importance of God’s Word in prayer
  •  The power of praying as a child does
  •  What Jesus prayed for
  •  How to pray when God does not meet your expectations
  •  How to overcome the challenges that keep Christians from following Jesus’s example

Cameron says, “Jesus prayed the whole night. He set an example that we should follow. In great

emergencies in our life, when we have duties with boundless consequence or we are about to face

encounters with severe implications, we should seek divine blessing and direction by setting apart

an unusual portion of time for prayer. Our Savior did it. We should follow in His footsteps.”

Cameron emphasizes that in order to know God’s will for our lives, we must commune with Him

every day, calling on the Holy Spirit for understanding.

Interwoven with personal experiences and scriptural support, this book will teach readers how to

practically apply the Word to their prayer life and grow in their relationship with God.

Wayne Jacobsen, author of He Loves Me and coauthor of The Shack, says, “40 Days Through the

Prayers of Jesus is a compelling invitation into a deeper intimacy with God. As Tim Cameron shows

you how vital prayer was to Jesus, you’ll find yourself hungering for a greater connection yourself.

You’ll no longer see prayer as a rigid obligation but as an endearing lifestyle of engagement with

Jesus and the Father that puts everything else about life into perspective. This is a book you won’t

want to miss!”

Cameron is a passionate follower of Jesus. He is a graduate of Oral Roberts University (ORU), where

he earned a bachelor’s in education and was a Division 1 basketball player. After Cameron earned a

master’s in teaching arts from the University of Tulsa, he served ORU as a director of admissions

and financial aid. He later worked as a senior high principal in public schools then became

headmaster at Metro Christian Academy, one of the largest private schools in Oklahoma. Today he

gives himself to the Word and intercession. A speaker and the author of The Forty-Day Word Fast,

he serves in prayer ministry and as an elder at Believers Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

LAKE MARY, FL—A significant percentage of pastors aspire to address mental illness in their

sermons but more than half of them rarely or never do. While congregations encourage medical

help to those with physical ailments, the general consensus toward mental illness is often to just

pray, involve oneself in church activities, and study the Bible.

Ob-gyn, minister, and author Dr. Carol Peters-Tanksley, known as Dr. Carol, offers a more detailed

approach in her book Overcoming Fear and Anxiety Through Spiritual Warfare.

Dr. Carol recognizes that mental illness—specifically fear and anxiety—has spiritual, mental, and

physical sides that work together to complete our mental health. In her book she addresses how to

restore optimal mental health by explaining psychological and physiological truths and also

employing spiritual warfare tactics.

“Finding relief from something such as fear and anxiety usually involves all the areas of your life,

and we’ll look at each of those areas individually,” Dr. Carol says. “We’ll talk about how cooperating

with God in all those areas is part of what He desires for you in your journey toward health and

well-being.”

LifeWay Research reported on how Christians who suffer from a mental illness often do not seek

help from their churches or ministry leaders, fearing that their mental health issues would indicate

spiritual weakness or unbelief.

In her book Dr. Carol warns that the enemy uses other people’s words to cause you to experience

fear, anxiety, or other negative emotions.

She provides six strategies to combat these spiritual forces through spiritual warfare. The strategies

involve rethinking destructive thoughts, joining forces with like-minded believers, and speaking

words that have an effect in the spirit realm.

Retired professor and chair of Christian Counseling at Oral Roberts University, Edward E. Decker Jr.,

says Dr. Carol “describes spiritual warfare and the processes involved in overcoming the ‘slings and

arrows’ of life in language that confirms the love of God, the grace of Christ, and the presence of the

Holy Spirit as available to everyone who is in distress. [She] truly believes, as do I, that God does not

desire any of His children to be bound by fear or anxiety.”

Dr. Carol has practiced medicine for more than twenty-five years and is board-certified in

obstetrics-gynecology and reproductive endocrinology. She received her medical degree from Loma

Linda University, where she completed an ob-gyn residency. She also obtained a doctor of ministry

degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She makes her home in Austin, Texas,

where she enjoys being Grandma Carol to four wonderful grandchildren. Connect with Dr. Carol at
